What's new? I reckon everyone's been catching up with long-time-no-see friends from afar, doing the annual year-end spring cleaning, year-end shopping spree, and what not. I've been doing all of the above, except the shopping part hmph. And the fact that I'll only have about 24 hours to indulge in retail therapy before the Year End Sale ends isn't very comforting at all!

Yet to take out ye' ol' Christmas tree and decorations. Too caught up with a gazillion other errands and activities that by the time I get home, the mere thought of having to open the X'mas box of wonders and dust everything in there exhausts me! -_- Ahh, maybe tomorrow, or Sunday.

Shoot. Just realized there's still baking to do! Cookies! And I kinda want to fly to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for a couple of days to kick back a little since my friend is there. Hmm. Mental note: check flight tickets! Mental note II: Pray for more time, more time, more time! or, at least, less things to do!

Enough about me.

You don't understand, and I don't know how to make you understand. This state of euphoria don't just come around like that. You can't get it by buying a designer handbag, not by celebrating the eve of New Year with your friends & family, not on your birthday, and I know I said I've never felt happier than I've ever did until the morning I got my referral results, but I can assure you, that's nothing compared to this! It's not something that a friend or a loved one can give to you, regardless of how much you love them and how much they mean to you. No. It's so much bigger than that. It's the kind of beauty that you could actually feel, and when it dawns upon you, it simultaneously send hot tears streaming down your cheeks. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not even close to a perfect description of the sensation. I felt it, I couldn't stop the tears as they flowed down my flushed cheeks, and as all of that was happening, I was smiling, the whole time. It was truly wonderful. I wish I could let you feel it, too. Then you'd understand what I'm trying to share with you. Then you'd understand that I'm not kidding when I say I'm going to grasp this feeling with all my might, till my very last breath x

Wanna know something so highly insignificant that it somehow sparks an absurd curiosity as per the subject matter carrying such degree of unimportance? Well let me tell you about the Big Bang Theory. It's an American sitcom. A friend insisted; hence, transferred the full series up till Season 4, and the first few episodes of Season 5, to me.

Started the (very much unforeseen) marathon two days ago and I'm at the second half of Season 2 already! Yes, the exhilaration escalates with every episode. It's worse than an addiction. This is an insane fixation! Even with How I Met Your Mother, I hadn't reached this stage of madness. I can proceed to present a review, complete with a eulogy of the screen-writer and individual actors playing the role of Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, and Howard but I'd rather not. Don't tempt me.

Anyway, as per the purpose of the this entry; (rhetorical question) how can you be convinced that you've had enough Big Bang Theory for one night?

You know the catchy song at the start of every episode? Our whole universe was in a hot dense state, then nearly 14 billion years ago expansion started... I feel obliged to sing-along, somehow. So I did; every single episode. When do I know for sure that I've had enough for one night? It's when I start to stare blankly at the screen with my mouth ajar, picking my own brain for the lyrics to the opening song. Now THAT would mark the end of the marathon... for one night.

It fascinated me when I realized the existence of this particular pattern. Well, not so fascinating now that I've virtually verbalized my fascination -_- sorry. And don't say I didn't warn you.

Good day, all! (: hope everyone's doing alright!

Just fyi, 'milliarium' means milestone, in French. And... I totally just gave the suspense away! I'm pretty sure all the previous entries' titles have nothing to do with its contents whatsoever. But this, this is highly non-fictional and there's no comical way to go about it.

So I turned *refer to picture above* two months ago. I know there's supposed to be some sort of a massive, overrated celebration to commemorate the event. I'd gladly host the overrated event, but due to apparent circumstances, an event of such nature simply wasn't feasible nor possible without stripping the event of its significance!

On top of that, a day before my birthday, my referral exam results were published! It was a quarter to 8 in the morning when my friend texted to inform me about it and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous as fuck. BECAUSE I WAS. NERVOUS. AS FUCK. Hesitated for a moment, but decided to just log on to the result portal and be done with it, success or failure! Thank God it was all passes! I broke down there and then, with my bed-hair (!!) and all. Ran downstairs to break the news to my parents and cried some more when my daddy hugged me and congratulated me.

Ahh, it was, indeed, one of the happiest moments of my life as far as I can recall. No kidding!

Hence, my birthday dinner was like a 2-in-1 kinda thing; me entering adulthood, and my graduation! (: It was a rather intimate family gathering at a Chinese restaurant.

It was a really low-key event. Tad frustrated that I didn't get to share the day with my friends but they made their own efforts to remind me that they haven't forgotten about me (: My friends are just brilliant like that! Thank You, each and every one of you, for the warm wishes, the parcels, cards, and phone calls! <3

It's a phase.

Feeling a little melancholic about the whole situation. All through high school, I've been asked about my ambitions, what I aspire to be in the future. All we've ever talked about was graduation, "...menuju ke puncak menara gading" and all that bullshit we used to write in our high-school essays. Now that I've finally reached this point in life, it's overwhelming; this feeling.

The excitement is starting to wear off. I've got more important stuff to take care of from now onwards. Stuff like job applications and what not. Varsity life is over, baby. The road is only gonna get bumpier with every step forward. Not sure if I'm equipped for that. But that's life, no? Nobody knows what's coming.

Let's just hope for the best (but expect the worst) !

Uhm... hey? I wonder if anyone still comes to this pathetic page anymore? Or if anyone is wondering what I've been up to? Or maybe, nobody actually follows this blog to begin with lol! So anyway, whether or not anyone is reading or will be reading at all, I'm still going to explain why I haven't been updating!

I've actually thought of shutting technodeval.blogspot.com down. Yet everytime the mere thought of it surfaces, I just can't bring myself to do it ): I guess this blog has some sort of sentimental value to me since I've been so badly attached to it for this one period of time back in foundation lol! those were the days...

Now I'm just chipping in exciting recollection of events which took place in my life, which turned out so excruciatingly mundane when I type it out, somehow. I'm a failed story-teller, really. See how I manage to stray off-topic over the previous two paragraphs? Do you see any link AT ALL? And now I'm starting to ask rhetorical questions.

Hmm let's just drop the part where I talk to myself and get to the subject of this entry.

Y'all have to know, that I was in a state of depression (self-diagnosis, because parents refuse to acknowledge the fact that their daughter might be clinically depressed; hence, lack of proper anti-depressants etc), a really bad place indeed. And on top of that, there's also this other... factor which might as well cause the fucking depression; my blood-test result came back with a lot of asterisks* decorating the page like confetti.

That was about a month and a half ago, around the time my final year examination results were published, too! I was... what's the word... devoid of emotions when I saw more asterisks* on the result page wtf. Bad news just kept flooding in, one after another. And nights seem to stretch to longer hours. I will never forget how it felt, lying on the bed, face up, staring at pitch-black nothingness, feeling so overwhelming that I thought I should just cry and be done with self-conflict but I don't know how to? Then I continue to stare at pitch-black nothingness until the morning sunlight pierces through thick curtains, just bright enough so I can stare at the ceiling instead of pitch-black nothingness. It was a bad place.

But, but over the past 2-3 weeks, I've been feeling a little better. And over the past few days, it seems to me that people have been extra nice, almost loveable! lol! I'm serious. I'm talking about complete strangers doing little acts of sweet somethings which somehow manages to brighten my entire day regardless of how exhausted I am. Has it always been like this? Or has failure changed me? Has the 'bad place' that I've been spending so much time at, cast a bright-er light on positivity? I have no idea.

My first day in West-Malaysia after two months of summer break

I even had a group discussion of about 6 members; half of which I never even knew existed! For reasons I cannot comprehend, I feel blessed, that the 2-day, full-day discussion went so damn fucking well I can't even describe. And I have never felt this much like a proper group member before. Group-work had ALWAYS been a painful experience, since ever! Not a time when there's no lazy fuck free-rider, or when there's no need for intensive language edits whereby the entire content had to be reconstructed! This time we're actually compatible and communication was a downright breeze!

Thank you, once-strangers, for letting me be a part of that (: it's that one final success that I guess I needed to experience in University. Before this, I was starting to have this perception that tertiary education was bullshit in terms of soft-skills whereby it doesn't teach us how to handle the more practical aspect of life!

Who knew, the story of my life (at the moment) could be turned the right-side up by total strangers? I wouldn't have thought it was even plausible! Lesson learned? fuck yeah x

So I got REEEEAAAALLLYYY bored this one day last week that I started to 'google' stuff; from "pretty bottle cap openers" to "cool ice moulds" BAHAHA! Yeah, THAT bored :/

There wasn't much on bottle cap openers though. As for ice molds, gosh it got me so distracted that I ended up looking up the prices on amazon.com and ebay! -_- swt. Well, I'm not crazy. Those ice molds were way more interesting than what's on my textbook 8)

Confession time.

I've never really felt this disheartened before...

I don't know what is it that you want from me? You know. It's been like this for a while now. Everytime I snap, you snap back in a major way wtf. That's the problem with youngsters these days. Born with a silver spoon in their mouths. They get everything they wish for. It's almost as if they are devoid of logical thinking and that warmth in their hearts. They are cold, in many ways; they make me shiver, startled by their insensitivity.

I'd expect you to understand that I'm currently preoccupied with finals and stuff. Even when I'm not studying, I'll be taking some time off to wind down for a bit. At the outset, I thought this could be good, you know? I thought I needed a friend like you. But no, you proved me wrong! What you did was unacceptable. I cannot tolerate such behavior, sorry. No friend in their right mind would humiliate me to this extent. I feel somewhat cheated of my emotions. You made (note: past tense) me feel like I was (note: past tense) a big part of your life then you replaced me so fast I didn't even get to catch my breath and I'm already replaced.

What the hell is this? Friendship has no value to you.

I'm sure you know how it feels to try so hard just to fall asleep...

It's been like this for quite some time already. Nose bleeds, stomach cramps and torturous headaches. I don't know if lack of sleep contributes to those symptoms. But let's just say it's nothing serious till I have the luxury of SPARE time!

Talking about time...

Let me just get this off my chest mkay?

I have a case of inconsiderate, self-centered, insensitive, brainless, idiotic, childish 'friends' who just cannot graosp the fact that what I don't have is time. Don't worry, though. If you're reading this right now, it's probably not you. Well yeah, the situation is something like asking me (countless times) to build you a tower, okay? with all the time that I d not have, I give in to your irritating requests and proceeded to build you a towehr. When it's not finished, you cracked a window, or with your fatn arse, you body slammed the whole damn tower down. Then you don't even have the decency to clean up after your own mess, coming to me, asking ME to clean up YOUR mess. Bullshit. I hate you.

But I still believe that people come into my life for reasons which I may not comprehend, nor tolerate. I just have to suck it in and try to be as distraction-free as possible for the time being. You messed me up real good. Just thought you should know.

Sanitary Steamboat.

I have been craving for Steamboat dinner since I forgot when...

I got what I wished for, few nights ago :)

Was supposed to go to this over-rated steamboat buffet restaurant called "Yuen's Steamboat", but it's packed as usual. So my friend suggested we try some other steamboat restaurants. And stumbled across this one (picture above) called: "Tasty Pot" -_-

As with any other steamboat restaurants..

But what makes it different and relatively better from Yuen's are the hygiene, and the marmite chicken wings. You don't have to go through hell for the chicken wings like you have to at Yuen's :) And the best part; their plates and cutlery are sanitized!!!

I've been talking about Ecoba a lot on Wicked Unravelling; I am aware of that. And lately the keywords which brought readers here are: Ecoba, Ecoba Taylor's, Ecoba sux (I'm SERIOUS!), Ecoba this and that...

Well guys, the lakeside branch just opened on the 15th of April, Friday at 1pm. I only checked the place out yesterday. And let me tell you this; it was a rather disappointing experience :(

MENU-- was printed on one side of a piece of foam.

Being a loyal patron of the Damansara Perdana branch, I was anticipating two things: choice & quality. Well, read on...

Spaghetti Arabiatta @10MYR

Fish & Chips @12MYR

NOW this one is a huge slap on the face!

Compare this to the one I had in the parent branch @D-Perdana:

The "Fish" I had in the Lakeside branch were over-fried. And from the looks of it, I figured: you can get those fish fillets in frozen boxes from the cold storage. Gah! At least the D-Perdana Ecoba's Fish & Chips looked more appetizing! :(

It was a bad decision. But what choice have I got? Not everything on the food menu was available at the time. I guess they're still adapting to the new place and all hmm. I would suggest you should head over after giving them a couple of months to get familiar...

I understand that they would have to adjust their food prices to the affordability associated to students. I understand that they would then have to adjust the portion & quality of food to low-er the price. Okayy I understand...

But serving me tasteless and ultra-diluted "Milo Ice" @ 3.50MYR isn't going to cut it. Lower price; does that mean you have to decrease the amount of Milo powder you mix in my drink?!! I'd rather just order plain water then?! :(

Environment-wise, of course you can't complain...

On top of that, it had just rained the entire morning. So it was really cool when I decided to have lunch at the recently-opened Ecoba in my campus. Taylor's Lakeside Campus is a pretty cool place when its not flooded with smelly people (kidding -_- geez, take a joke!).

Sigh, maybe it would appeal better to those who did not expect anything. I honestly love the Ecoba in Damansara Perdana because it's all sorts of awesome. But this is downright blehhh~ Price range for food are within the 10s and 20s whereas drinks are... let's just hope you order sky juice instead of anything else on the menu -_-

FINALLY found the time to go for brow-shaping -_-

...after a bush grew above the eyes so thick that I can't see where I'm going. Of course, me and my exaggerations. So I called to make an EMERGENCY appointment with Shu Uemura and they asked me to head over right away ;)

Been wanting this baby since the first time I stepped into the outlet...

FINALLY got it ! yay~!!

Then my companion and I started to "wander" around the mall, feeling all pumped up and determined to scratch some items off the companion's shopping list. And while the spendthrift companion trade the greens for items, I did some trading myself :/

There were four of us on the dinner table and the bill totaled up to 100+MYR which, to me, isn't bad at all. Decent price for good food :) The only downside is that we wanted to chat; the indoor dining area is always really loud and noisy so we had to sit in the al-fresco area where we were attacked by vicious mosquitoes!!

I'm anticipating the launch of their new branch at Taylor's Cowdungside Campus.

Because the food in (TAYLOR'S LAKESIDE) campus sucks so badly in terms of pricing, service and food quality. I hope Ecoba will save me from this lunch-nightmare I have in Uni every damn weekday.

What a shame, I haven't been very loyal to 'Wicked Unravelling'; hence, out of guilt and insomnia, here I am, back again :) trying to keep you posted on what I've been up to, in case you actually do give a damn.

So last week, my babes and I found out that we were supposed to register as members of this professional accounting body (ACCA) as soon as possible. We were kinda late to register for the "Accelerate Programme" which entitles us to a membership fee of 100MYR instead of £69; yeah, I kiasu, got a problem with that?

Anyway, if you landed here with the intention of finding out more about it, the ACCA office is on the 27th floor of Sunway Tower II, 86 Jalan Ampang. You're welcome! ._.

The whole process of filling up the relevant forms and documentations, paying up, and stamping took less than an hour. And I was rather hungry at the time, suggested we grab lunch at KLCC and perhaps loiter around after, to burn some calories heh...

Then I stumbled upon this pretty cafe in the middle of nowhere, Bisou. I have no idea why the name of the pretty cafe and the printed name on the paper bag doesn't match! Anywho, they sell really cutesy cupcakes and cakes etc. and heck, my friend and I couldn't resist

So we bought their best-seller: Red Velvet.

Bloated!

In case you don't already know, I rented a car two weeks ago :)

Was excited after I made the call because the 'uncle' told me he was going to give me the "small Kia" so I guessed it was a 'Picanto'. Not bad. Not bad at all. But the morning before he sent the car over, he told me the "small Kia" wasn't in good condition so he exchanged it for a PROTON WIRA wtf. Of all cars...... you give me a fxcking Proton -.-

But who cares.. the car was antique but it only cost me 100MYR for a day; meaning 24 hours, that's excluding petrol. He said not to worry, I can use the car the whole day the next day as he will only come to collect it later in the afternoon.

Anyway, I decided to bring my ~~jakun~~ sis to Empire Shopping Gallery since she's never been there, ever! yeah, can you imagine? haha :P Tangs' Closed-door Members' Sale was on at the same time so it was worth the trip there :)

Closure

For various reasons which shall not be mentioned,

...I'm feeling a tad on the down-side tonight. I wish I was the girl you think I am; whatever it is that you think I am. I've always aspired to be satisfied with the here and now, to be 'up to snuff' on my own terms, and live my life to the fullest- the ultimately cliched purpose of life.

And I thought I had achieved flow with what I'm doing now; which I'll be doing for a living. I really thought I've found myself. In spite of that, I suck at it! I'm hopelessly insufficient in certain terms on this... this.. battlefield. And it's no fun being on the bottom tier of the lot! Well, the situation might not be as horrible as I try to make it seem, but from my standpoint, this... this.. is failure!!

I've disappointed myself in every possible way already. The feeling is so intense that I'm finding it tight in the chest when I heave a sigh. I lock myself up in my room and put an immensely sentimental playlist on repeat! I play it so loud on my headphones that I drown out the sound of my phone ringing, knocks on my door, the doorbell, the thunder, lightning and rain. I'm starting to experience horridly painful headaches that aspirin can't seem to soothe; migraine? god, I'm too young to get migraine!

Anyway, who cares how I feel. I know I've got to deal with this solo-style. I just need to break down a little, and this is as far as I can 'break down' so, read and forget what I've blurted out alright babes?

God I'm so bored right now

Been streaming countless episodes of TV series like Glee S2 and Desperate Housewives for the whole of two days already; yesterday and today. I know I've been going out during the weekdays but these two days of staying home drove me a tad bonkers. I don't know how you guys do it; staying home 24/7 what's the secret? gah ._.

I'm running out of downloaded movies to watch, too. Well I guess it's a good thing then? that I'll be back in Uni starting tomorrow 'cause break's over and all? hmm. Which reminds me, I still have a few tasks to complete by tomorrow!

There was a period of time, about a month ago when one after another of my friend started to leave the country for studies. It was one hell of an emotional period, too. Well here's how bad it was: imagine having to go to the airport to send your friends off about 3-4 times for the week and another one the week after, and maybe another two the week after next wtf.

Some were tearful *green monkey* and some were... funny; yes, funny because I guess some of the men (who feels their masculinity challenged if they tear lol) would crack jokes at every opportunity and make everyone laugh :D

Anyway, this would cover my dear Jan Swayh's farewell/birthday dinner.

Uhm.. hello?

I'm so sorry for not updating. I don't believe I have to explain myself but here's something to make up for the long blogging-break.

Went to Malacca last month with Jeff and his family.

Main reason being: FOOD.

We ate everything there is to eat at Jonker's Street...
just like all the prior trips to Malacca :)

This time, we even visited the Baba Nyonya Museum and this traditional flip-flop place...

It was still early when we were done with Jonker's Street & Dutch Square so we were kinda roaming around the town in Jeff's car, hunting for nyonya cuisines and stuff? but the hunt was starting to result in failure so we decided to just hit the mall and see if there's anything interesting there while we kill time for later...

Experienced Fish Spa for the first time ever and it was rather freaky at first... you know, you don't expect live creatures to nibble your feet everyday -.- I'm glad I've tried it, 'cause I don't think I'd ever want to do it again blehhh... and the highlight of the visit to the Spa was that I bumped into my ex-classmate there! yeah, what are the odds :)

And then it was 5ish in the evening, just in time for later...

Is it just me, or is this blog starting to look like a food blog.

Just so you know, i've never intended for it to happen. It just happens.. This time, I'm going to show you what REAL FOOD looks like :) These are some overdue pictures from that one week break I had for CNY earlier this month.

And when we came back from the trip, it's time to prepare for CNY already! To think that I'm supposed to finish two assignments during that one week is downright impossible! I wasn't supposed to go home for the week, because nothing productive can be done during a festive break at home wtf.

But I'm glad I went home :)

I've been missing out so much! My aunt gave birth to a baby girl and I didn't even know about it! My mom didn't even bother to update me wtf. We went to this toy shop in Miri which I've been visiting on a pretty regular basis back when I still lived in Miri.. and my mom said we should buy this baby toy for "R*****" and I'm like WHO THE F IS R*****.

Hmm.. now you know how "involved" I am with the whole big family thing -.-

Anyway, I've been feeling down in the dumps lately and I don't see why I should hide it. I mean, I try and all.. but I'm just too exhausted to care about what other people think of me when I'm being such a killjoy like that. Worn out from all that drama, all the lies I've been naively fed for the past few weeks, all your mood fluctuations, your INCONSISTENCIES, your insensitivity, your not-being-there, and most of all, the mind control shit I've been practicing is just so hard to keep up with!

I know that I need to cry, just for once..

..and this weight will slip right off my shoulders.

I realized I've promised you I'd blog about my little vacations a few weeks back. And I also realized I've entirely forgotten about it. In the midst of assignments and all that workload, apparently blogging never made it to my list-of-things-to-do.. thats, well, until now :)

It was my first encounter with this thing called mantis prawns; which, according to my friend, OMGNESS THE BEST EVER, PERIOD. So we decided to just order one each; there were 8 of us at the dinner table; so yes, 8 mantis prawns.

....without realizing that ONE mantis prawn = 22MYR

that's like...

omgwtfexpensive!!!

...and by far the ugliest thing I've ever put in my mouth ! but the whole experience of having the prawns placed on the table; gasping at the awesomeness of it all, thai-massaging the fella before you peel the exoskeleton off, and finally EATING it, ugh, orgasmo.

Oh and not forgetting, the crabs. We ordered two types. They ordered in mandarin and I didn't catch what it's called, so yeah. CRABS.

So I have.... one, two, three more assignments before I can declare a few days off to wind down and do some serious mind-rejuvenation. I know my 2-week break just ended and all so why the hell am being a bxtch asking for more breaks and all?

Well, you might think I've been having tonnes of fun over the past few weeks but really my mind haven't been disregarding the thought of assignments on my table!

Okay, maybe i did temporarily block out the haunting thoughts of my pending workload when I went for a short vacation with my bbfs (best-bitches-forever) to Penang Island last week. Oh and not forgetting my friend's 21st Birthday drinking party last weekend. Oh and my Friday night out.

Hmm yea i know, i know.. don't start giving me the look.

It's been a long while since I last caught up with my foundation classmates. Can you believe it! It's already been something like 3 years since College started. So much had changed over the years. Gee, time sure flies, huh?

Hello 2011 !

I've been so entangled in assignments and assessments that I had to put blogging on hold. Everyone bid their official farewell and good riddance, 2010 entry and I'm only doing mine after 10 days into the BUNNY year.

So much has been going on in my life, and a year has gone past just like that. I still have a vivid memory of how I spent New Year's Eve last year. And between then and now, I've got my heart broken a couple of times, by some of the most significant people in my life. Because only they are capable of hurting me. Regardless, I've grown to learn that some people are only meant to step into your life to teach you life's hardest lessons and then it's time for them to leave. I've re-inforced myself into someone with a heart of steel- cold, yet protected and secure :)

Not everyone who came, left. Some stayed, despite the misunderstandings and cold wars, they stayed. And I plan to fight to stay in theirs, too :) because they're worth it, this bunch <3

Anyway. Enough of farewells. I'm getting a little sucked into the reminiscing part of my post as you could probably tell from the first three paragraphs of intro! wtf.

Here's a coverage of how I spent New Year's Eve this time around...

It was a joint-celebration with the working bunch; the playful and energetic working bunch! HA HA. They got a 3-bedroom unit at Farenheit88's apartment so we kinda tumpang-crashed the place :) and it was THE party of the year!

Who in their right mind would dare call it a party without bringing out these babies~

HA HA HA and what better way to keep the party-spirit alive by playing games...

....drinking games!

Games went on until it's time to countdown. From where we stood, we could see the digital display of time on the maxis building but somehow they (the crowd downstairs) started to count backwards from 10 when it only showed 11:58pm pffsh* UNRELIABLE!!!

We went down to check out the event in front of Pavilion, hosted by flyfm. The crowd was a scary bunch! Music was alright tho- club songs, but dodgy place to be playing and dancing to club songs. Now I'll remember that spot where my friends and I danced like.... like we were in a club -.- in front of Pavilion. Gee.. memories.

Can't believe I actually survived THAT ! Ugh. It was gross, really. I never liked crowded places (CLUBS ARE AN EXCEPTION OKAY!) and it's helluva workout to try and get from point A to point B wtf. Then there's crazy nutcases spraying those foam things out of a can? GAH! HORRIBLE! Yet memorable :)

I guess that's it for now.

We had no plans in particular, for Christmas Eve.

But neither wanted to stay home, with a 6-pack and a bag o' chips. So we hung around at Kayu's for a bit, reminiscing on the good ol' days when we still believed in Santa Claus... well, our young-er days.

You know, how you're capable of doing really childish things back in high school without having to worry about the consequences and stuff? But now you have to think things over before actually doing it?

Well yeah, there's this thing called growing up.

It's the time of the year again..

...Christmas - what does it mean to you?

Well, to most of us, it means we get to exploit the occasion and dress to impress! Haha well not that extravagant but yeah, we go through all the hassle of setting themes, shopping for clothes, make-up, and fancy dinner.

Bad news, I did not enjoy the shopping trip! *REDALERT*

Most probably coz I was in a rush- shopping on the day of the dinner itself? Clearly implying the state of desperation and RUSH i went through. Was pretty knackered considering the number of sleepless nights I had to pull-off before the dinner to get my University work done and all. Thought of fleeing the scene but the mere thought of "fleeing" pretty much terrifies me! for some reason -.- I just HAVE TO ATTEND.

Who cares if I look like crap anyway :P heh. heh. Not like you can do anything about it!

Regardless of the amount of mental frustration I had to face, life goes on (LOLWTF?)

Jessie made a reservation for 20 at 8:00pm.

But more than 20 turned up and we arrived at the venue at 9ish. Yeah, punctual.

You'd probably know by now that the big dinner was held at this cosy place called Ciccio, Changkat downtown Kuala Lumpur. It's well recognized for its reputation in serving classic wood-fired gourmet pizzas!

Saturated with academics articles at the moment, so many things to take in. I just felt like writing and the closest alternative is to blog.

I declare my own little breaks in between all that reading and digesting. That's when I make my random phonecalls, texts, Whatsapps, tweets, and photo-editing. Human contact keeps me awake, texting and whatsapps make me smile, tweeting keeps my depression at bay, and photo-editing never fails to send me in state of flow.

As for a proper update...

Sook, Pico and myself got together for dinner to commemorate Rebecca's (aka Becky's) belated birthday. Her birthday actually falls on the 9th of November but at the time, I was caught up with the World Congress of Accountants @KLCC while Sook and the others were in the midst of their finals. Hence, the slight delay in plans.

So there, an intimate gathering of a ~~mature~~ bunch of mates. What could be better, right?

Heyya~

I'm gonna try to make this entry really, really short considering the amount of visual aids i've chucked in? Am not implying this is going to get boring or anything. Just short(er).

As mentioned in my previous post, I went for a short vacation to Malacca, then PD last month. Took over 400 snapshots during the entire time, but not all are facebook-friendly* HAHA.

The trip was actually planned by Sook something like a month before- as a reunion of our foundation mates; well, those who are still in contact anyway (: Most of them are doing UniSA while only Wonka & I were doing UWE -.- Hence, the complication in selecting the dates. GAh.

Ended up postponing the trip to the 26th Nov (: All's well.

Very well, nothing much to explore in Malacca except for Jonker's so we left the place later in the (HOT) afternoon and made our journey to Port Dickson (:

Arrived even later that afternoon and checked-in at:

Avillion Admiral Cove, Port Dickson.

You can't see the resort from the road so you gotta watch out for an ancient-looking signboard erected by the roadside- indicating where you need to turn into a junction leading to the resort entrance. So, keep your eyes open!

price difference between Avillion Hotel and Avillion Admiral Cove.

we booked 3 premium rooms in the Vista Wing (the newer one).

I googled about the place to get reviews and all.. but most of them only checked out the View Wing, which is the older one- which is nice, also. And they especially highlighted the fact that there's a basin/sink right smack THERE, out of nowhere. LOL I understand how awkward the location is but yorr.. it's convenient ler.

My favorite part of the room would definitely be the mirror! haha the toilet door is a sliding one, and when you slide it close, the entire external part of the door is a full-length mirror! fuh!

After settling down and freshening up in the room, we headed to some other place where we rented a BBQ pit for about 50MYR? Bloody hell, the place is swarmed with mosquitoes wtf! but the situation was under control when we got the charcoals burning haha!

Some of us abused the flexibility to escape for a stroll on the beach while ahem* the men took care of setting up the bbq thingie.. lol (men = Brad & Wonka?) :P

Somebody found out that there was some local carnival/funfair somewhere along our way back to the hotel, and suggested we head there after BBQ. So we did, all sticky and smelling like burnt sausages, we went to the carnival lol *semangat*

Was dead knackered by the time we reach our rooms. But somehow i remember feeling pumped again after showering haha! Crashed the room next door for card games, drinks and charades; god, charades. It was downright hilarious to see how the actor struggles to get the message across! HAHA. But when it's your turn to act it out, it's plain stressful T^T

Pajamas gathering ended around 2 in the morning? then my girls and I went back to our room to continue the uhmm, drinking session (coz there's a bottle of wine left unfinished). Talked all night till we tire ourselves out from all the juicy discussions lol.

Woke up the next morning to this view :

You have no idea how many times I've typed, backspaced, backspaced, typed, backspaced backspaced backspaced* it got so annoying that i decided to abandon the entry altogether! lol. Now I have a few pending entries on my blogger dashboard? I uploaded the visuals and all, what's left would be the words.... my stories are all over the place. Give me time to organize everything and I can promise you I'll do better (:

Time management has never been my friend.

For now, I have piles of assignments and tasks PENDING. And that's all they're ever going to be... pending. I'm not that busy, but somehow I just can't find enough time to spare. Now I have one assignment due in the beginning and another towards the end of January 2011. Thing is, I haven't started either one!

Here's the contradiction: I just got back from a short vacation.

After all that rants about having nil time to spare. Here I am, telling you I just got back from a vacation lol! :) Nayh, I'm not saying i'm regretting. I'm thrilled I've taken the time off (and away) to wind down for a bit. Well, trip coverage shall be my next entry aite!

Everyone wishes they could be kids for eternity- nil responsibilities and expectations etc. But that'd be wrong! Sooner or later you'd realize that time serves a purpose. Time is our mentor, who ticks along every step of the way- and we are supposed to learn new things and grow with every step, not just physically but d'ohh.. mentally as well!

Trying out the 6-cheese pizza @PizzaHut with Sook before Halloween

Somebody managed to persuade me to share a regular pizza. FYI, it was just the two of us- with one regular pizza *gaspss* luckily Nick came over to join/help us a little while later. Cracked some pretty nasty Halloween suggestions regarding costumes and we came up with- condoms and sanitary pads wtf!!! Funniest day ever. Hadn't laughed like that in years wtf.

And after that, I just got way too caught up with the World Congress of Accountants, 2010~ from the 8th till 11th of November at KL Convention Center.

Thats FOUR consecutive days of hell.

The task happened to be compulsory for final year students of UWE at Taylor's? so we didn't really have a choice? I dreaded the idea of being forced into something that i didn't want. On top of that, they told us we were going to have to wear the "uniform" they'll be providing which would be the "national costume" of Malaysia aka BAJU KURUNG!!!

Yeah, I just defined hell for you.

Reluctantly put them on on the first day of work and it really didnt look that bad after all.. I mean, it sorta looked rather presentable if you ~~stare~~ look at it long enough heeeee~

My bunch of friends and I got posted at the main entrance of the KL Convention Center on the first day (8th Nov). I thought I'd make the effort to at least wear heels on the first day i mean, i'll be working at the main entrance and that's where participating candidates are going to judge first impressions etc.

Damn I regretted once my feet started to feel like jelly -.- ahh, sweet memories*

Never thought I'd say this, but here goes..

I really enjoyed the experience. I really AM grateful for being given this opportunity to participate in one way or another. Candidates paid something like MYR3k to be a part of the WCOA2010 event and I'm being paid to participate lol. Me likey the equation!! :P

Posted at Conference Hall 1 for the 2nd and 3rd day of the Congress, but on the 4th (last) day, I kinda volunteered to help out with the certificates' distribution :) which was by far the best job ever coz it meant i'll be sitting on cushion the entire time lol!

There were candidates who wanted me to "pretend" to be the WCOA Chairperson, shake their hands and present their certificates to them -.- while they capture the "pretend" moment on camera wtf. Pffsh* felt awkward since everyone was looking....

Regardless..

I loved the last day the most x)

Happy Belated Halloween, sayangs !

but really though, Halloween wasn't exactly a celebration way back then. Couldn't be bothered looking up history at this hour, so if you're curious enough, go google! :)

The last time I went to Taipan was probably before summer break, which was more than 4 months ago! There's so many things to eat in Taipan lol. Usually my friends and I would head over to Strawberry Fields Cafe (remember the spongebob story? well click the link if you dont :P) yeah, i was saying that i've always gone to that area for a meal at Strawberry's but this time it's Murni.

A relatively newer, and cleaner Murni (100x cleaner than ss2's Murni wtf).

Friends & I wanted to catch the night screening for Eat. Pray. Love but tix were selling like hot paninis* Had to purchase the tix online to get good seats for the 10:20pm screening and it was a success :)

Reached KL earlier and we had time to kill; hence, went lepak at the newly renovated mall- Farenheit88, Jalan Bukit Bintang- KL.

Definitely NOT my kinda place.

Now that summer break's over *sobs* and I'm right here, back in space, there shall be more updates. Yayyy? haih. I miss bumming at home. Waking up a little before noon, mommy's cooking, endless supply of coffee, milk ~~and liquor~~.

Summer break is like some zen training; finding that peace of mind after all the commotion Uni's put me through hahaaa! Hmm, can't sleep in no more :( i dont know how i'll survive the first week of Uni. After all that ZEN lol~!

Moments after we settled down, it rained pretty damn heavily so we had to shift indoors. It got so bad that they had to pull down the gates. Idk what it's called. Refer to pic above lol. The worker was telling everyone to shift... but there was this table of westerners who insisted that the rain didn't bother them. And the worker went berserk!

I went to Sibu last weekend (or was it last two weekends?). I've been living in Sarawak for what.. three quarters of my life now? and it's only been my third/fourth time going to Sibu. Never been a huge fan of the place tho it's only a 2hr 45min drive away. The road there? oh god, felt like driving on devil's terrain. I can barely get a shut eye wtf. Bumpy madness!!

Bookshops which display dusty, wrapped up magazines. People staring you up and down for being an obvious outoftowner *middlefinger*.

Felt miserably lost there.

The only excitement was that I bumped into my primary school ex-classmate at the hotel lobby lol much? APparently the both of us were stunned for a moment ther, we were pointing at each other, recalling names... as usual.

So this "neighbour" lady got excited and she was telling this orange-halter-top lady that she (the orange halter top lady) will be in the newspaper the next day. Seriously she was damn gung-ho about the whole thing, making such a commotion and all.. pffsh* I guess they don't see it everyday, people carrying relatively huge cameras (eg DSLRs).

Then my dad was telling me.. hahaha that lady will be spending more than usual getting newspapers from all the publishers tomorrow morning~ awwh poor thing. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get your hopes up. It was just a couple of pictures :)

It was a slow process larr to begin with- deciding on a venue to host my nth birthday dinner. Downright spoiled with choices, thats why. Yuen's steamboat was also part of the list; as a last resort lol.

All thanks to Sook, I've finally decided on Ecoba, which is in Damansara Perdana. Click for location. It's in PJ Trade Centre, a tad challenging to find coz i think you can't see it as you drive across LDP so it's prolly safer to spot for PJ TRADE CENTRE rather than ECOBA lol! basement parking fees are charged at a flat rate of 2myr after 6pm, so.. pandai pandai larr yuh~

All these while I've always been fond of Sushi Zanmai; everything about it- price, choices, service, environment, portion. I'm sure you've checked the place out. It's always packed with customers. If you're jakun enough to go during peak hours (lunch/dinner), don't get pissed when you're asked to wait in a queue. Because everybody does it =_=

BUT right...

About a week back, I went for lunch with the long-time-no-see friends @Empire, Subang Jaya. It's not that hard to decide where to eat at Empire cos there's very little to choose from pfft*

Ended up at Rakuzen coz neither of us hav been there before.

Took us a long time to decide as there are ample choices of meal combos. Everything oso want lorr!! Summore the combo sets come with miso and chawanmushi :3 so yummy! It only costs around 25-30MYR per set meal so it's damn gao worth it (i think larr).

I'm not even supposed to indulge myself with all these seafood you're drooling on right now. Remember I did a blood test a while back? well, turns out, my blood contains a higher-than-normal level of uric acid =_= hence, the restriction on seafood and red meat.

T*ylor's Uni College prolly has the worst hotline service in the history of successful education providers! wtf. I made a payment online last month for my accomodation fees (July-September). Then today they call me asking me whether or not i'm going to pay up soon

WTF! WHAT SHIT IS THIS!! ALWAYS HAPPENS I TELL YOUUU!!! inefficient sial!

Seriously, this has been a huge problem ever since I enrolled for foundation. Now I'm soon commencing my FINAL YEAR OF DEGREE and I'm STILL having this problem. What the shit wehhh T*ylor's.

Okay, fine.

Technical error (for the umpteenth time already!). So you want my online transaction receipt. I just e-mailed it to you. Then I proceeded to TRY and contact the payment counter to ask if it's only a matter of synchronization between the payment services and accomodation services.

Just got off the phone.

And guess what... *oh-im-so-surprised*

There's this hotline thing. I called and got patched from one line to the other. Finally they put me through the payment counter's line. I waited for SOOO LONGGGG and nobody picked up. Hung up lar. Then I called again, this time, the operator didn't pick up WTFFFFF*

EFF YOU TUC !!! I WILL NEVER PROMOTE YOU TO ANYONE, WON'T EVEN THINK OF IT!!

i'm sure i'm not the first person to have her/his day screwed up because of some lousy service provided by the uni. geez* you make me mourn over my father's hard-earned money. Paid so much only to get this kinda service *puikkkkh*

Few nights ago, I had this conversation with a friend about how a huge majority of our peers will be leaving for studies abroad. I mean, it's bad enough that that my sayangs on the westside are leaving. But then again, I just came back from yumchar with my sayangs on this side of the sea and I realized that a majority of them are leaving TOO! *sobsobs* How lar.. I'm gonna be so damn lonely without them.

Initially I found it quite impossible to maintain that bond between myself and my friends from both sides of south china sea (lol!) You see, I spend most of my days in the west, d'oh because I'm studying there. And while I'm there, I have to adapt to the environment THERE. I have to maintain my relationships with the people THERE. In the meantime, amidst the busy schedule and all that nonsensical things that I do, i could literally feel the distance growing between me and my highschool friends. The things we talk about, the things we do, the way we dress up and the way we get things done. There's a gap there- a stubborn one.

Then there's summer break.

Frankly i wasn't very comfortable around my friends when I first came back. In their minds, I'm the "KL eh zhar bo" who gets drunk every possible night and you know.. all that cliched things people talk about? LOL It took me some time to settle down and literally force myself to poke into their conversations. And I hope they'd begin to see the silly side of me (if there's any). Well now it's all good and I'm really looking forward to each day, being able to catch up with them and all?

But the thing is, I feel some kind of distance between myself and my friends from Uni, friends from the other side pfft* then when I return for studies after a long break like this, it's gonna be a re-run of the same damn thing that I had to go through when I first came back HERE to my hometown. Then I'm gonna be the "sarawak eh zhar bo" who lives on treetops or longhouses or whatever their creativity suggests! ~~lol~~.

Sigh* I'm torn into all directions. I don't mind the re-run. I'd do it time and time again with much confidence because I know that this little effort will definitely pay off at the end. And I will have these wonderful people around me, making me feel at home wherever I am.

It's really unfortunate that I can't make time stand still! Really devastating- the thought of returning for studies, and not being able to see my favorite people. People who would make life away from home less depressing. Even more saddening, to return home for long breaks, and not being able to hang out with friends who take up most pages of my history.

I wish I could devote as much time as I can, to at least try to keep these people close at heart and present in mind. Fact is, there will always be that distance. The one that I hate so much.

Sad to hear aye? But imagine your daughter has OI, in order for her to live a quality life, you need money, and you don't have lots of those. So you're going to sue your doctor (also your very best friend), for wrongful birth because you think that your doctor should've diagnosed the OI earlier during pregnancy so you can terminate (abort).

It's 5:34AM as i'm typing.

My first time driving out, alone like.. finally.
and it's bad coz' i came back home past 4AM, very bad for a first timer.

How do i feel? i'm still unfamiliar with the roads here but (i think) my driving's fine! haha!

Anywho, day TWO as promised.

Basically we visited all the major landmarks in Miri city. I don't know if there's a certain criteria or requirement for a building to be tagged as a landmark? but these are the few interesting spots around :)

Made a little trip down to Miri, Sarawak for 3D2N last week. Some friends from the west-side (LOL!) decided to drop by the east coast for a look around. Put up with a classmate from Miri and man, those three days were totally worth the effort of getting on that 45min flight to Miri :)

Upon arrival, met up with the fellas and headed for breakkie at the renowned

Ahh, i've been so distant lately you don't have to tell me.
